EUROVIA SK a.s. manages its production and non-production activities in accordance with the relevant legislation and ethical principles and strives to limit any negative impacts of its activities on individual components of the environment as effectively as possible, both in the short and long term. The company’s management considers environmental protection an essential part of modern entrepreneurship, a part that must be continuously improved. The company has long since established an environmental management system as per standard STN EN ISO 14001:2016. As the next step in its environmental development, the company introduced in 2017 an eco-management and audit scheme (EMAS) as per Regulation (EC) No 1221/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 November 2009 on the voluntary participation by organisations in a Community eco-management and audit scheme. On 11 December 2017, EUROVIA SK, a.s. was registered by the Slovak Environmental Agency in the scheme, becoming the first construction company in Slovakia to improve its environmental performance by going beyond the requirements of STN EN ISO 14001. The company thus joined other European environmentally responsible businesses. Further information about the company's environmental performance is provided in its Environmental Declaration.
